Abuse Victim... NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE: Drigger - Male - Approx 6 Years Old - 12.10 Pounds - Shih Tzu/Poodle Mix Reason For Intake: Late One Night, We Got An Urgent Call From City Hall In A Little Rural Town In Northeast Louisiana. They Had Just Taken In A Little Dog Whose Drunken Owner Beat Him So Hard, His Eye Came Out Of The Socket. The Man Was Arrested And The Case Is Pending... But It Was Ruled By A Judge That This Little Dog Is Not Going Back To His Abusive Owner. The Town Sent Him To An ER Vet About An Hour Away From Them To Patch The Eye And We Picked Him Up The Next Day. He Went To Our Vet On 2/11/21 To Assess Other Possible Injuries, For Neutering, Vaccinations, Heartworm/fecal Testing, Etc. We're Not Sure How Long This Little Guy Has Endured Abuse From His Owner But That Is All In His Past Now. It Will Be A While Before He's Eligible For Adoption But During That Time, We Are Going To Spoil Him Rotten!
